Armani Privé Rose d'Arabie by Giorgio Armani
This is Armani's take on the most hyped genre in the recent times - Rose-Oud combination. This is probably one of the most talked about fragrance from the line along with Oud Royal. I sniffed it pretty early just after the release as i was traveling. First spray and i thought oh okay! Nothing special its just another Rose-Oud combination.
I was wrong indeed! After a year i gave it another visit and this time
Just around winters. I took this one out to try with certainly very timid expectations.
The Rose on this from the first spray starts developing on your skin rapidly. It starts like a very dark velvety rose and then turns into a shiny-syrupy rose in seconds. The Oud note gets induced and just wraps you like a blanket.
This is where it differs from other Rose-Oud combos it is so inviting and likable because of that subtle Oud blending. Its not skanky but very wearable.
The real deal happens in the drydown when that gourmand feel kicks in with amber and vanilla. Its sexy and almost smells edible. Just like top class luxurious Rose sweets we get here - popular in India and middle east.
Amber really brings the warmth in this composition. I think drydown is what differentiates this from its other contemporaries.
Armani Prive was designed to give customers the feel of middle eastern market. its a remarkable try in oriental perfumery by this house.
This is a classy scent of upscale settings. Bring out that black jacket of yours in a chilly night and spray this on and people will surely hug you for longer! You will smell sensual and divine period.
