Grey and pink are Christian Dior’s favorite shades of choice in couture, these two hues inspired many of his collections and the interior of his first boutique in Paris as well. François Demachy is the perfumer behind Gris Montaigne, which is a tribute to his favorite colors, and part of the Collection Privée.
Delicate rose and earthy woods create this memorably bold scent, but without being too loud. The fragrance reminds of a pile with wood shavings drowned in rosewater, slightly mossy, with wet soil notes. Gris Montaigne’s dry-down is seductive blend of creamy sandalwood and sweetly warm amber deepened with deep elegant cedar notes which will linger for hours.
