Alternative scents: alex
Great formulation. aventus concentrated is my first impression. Opening is quite strong and unlike aventus remains so as it dries down also....more ?Citrussy, but not at all offensive.... sweet and pleasant like aventus. 5hrs nw and still nice sillage. One spray is enuf if u r indoors, two is luxury and three is show off. As an alternative-great work, think can b bottled as such, with regards to perfection-think needs to simmer it down. coming to sexes, with its more sweet notes it may b used as a unisex fagrance unlike the male inclined aventus.once again grt piece of work and i wud b happy to hav a 100ml bottle to my collection if its out for sale or before any reformulations..... And thank u mohit for the samples.... PS: its my humble review, pls dnt b offended if am wrong
So, I was send sample of alternative scents by Mohit and I was very sceptical of testing these fragrance as I don’t have a pleasant experience with clone brands and I have tested lot of them. I have only liked armaf scent because of the price point. I have tested all 3 scents and here are my view and I am not going to go into note breakdown as they are still developing these scents and it’s not a final product .
Alex ( Aventus clone) – This is closest clone to original aventus I have smelled of all the clone I have tried and I have tried a lot of them . Pineapple is quite apparent and natural which is tremendous change from my preferred aventus clone of Armaf CDNI M which is very synthetic and dry down it has musk also, I will suggest them to add bit of smoke and you will have amazing juice on your hand
Rouge 666 ( Baccarat Rouge 540 Clone) – I never got on hype of MFK BR 540 and the reason was I was anosmic to the scent however I can very well smell this fragrance , It is strongest of all three and with great projection , Still very sweet like MFK BR 540 however I smell this very well . I think all the BR 540 fan will love this one.
Grand Nuit ( MFK Grand Soir ) – I have tested the original fragrance and this one is nowhere close to original IMO . I hated it in the beginning however I wore this few times and it is good scent on its own but not close to Original.
I am told pricing of above fragrance will be close to around 50 $ for 100 ML with good presentation, I think will amount of non-synthetic ingredient they are great juice’s specially Alex and Rouge 666 which have excellent value for money and viable alternative to originals.
Tried the below three from the generous samples from Mohit Khatri
One thing common across them is that they are all great performers.
On my skin, all their longevity is 7+ hours
Have great projection
and 666 has a very good sillage as well.
In terms of the smell,
Rouge 666's opening is fairly different from BR540's opening or mid notes or drydown, but then in 10 mins grows closer to it and is very close. Becomes linear after that and doesnt have the smooth drydown of BR. But then during its stay its close.
Grand Nuit , I havent smelled the original, but this smells gorgeous and as I said earlier has great performance as well.
Alex opens up a tad different to the fruity batches of Aventus (I'm not an expert in Aventus and batches, though) and then quickly turns close to the Aventus. Can;t say how close, but I do get a good vibe. performs well and then stays for a long time. Worth it.
P.S. Not a paid review or even didnt get any free samples except Alternative. And this both a quick view and feedback
Alex. Smooth blend of pineapple and class (if that's possible)
Now this will not stay in the foreground. It's a classy aroma that stays present and noticeable albeit subtle.
I can see folks wear this to office or as a day wear.
Easily the best opening among the trio.
Alex: It's a very good clone of the mighty Aventus. I personally have tried many batches and Alex seems like doing a good job on replicating them. The opening is much better than CDNIM for sure. You don't get the synthetic vibe that you would get with CDNIM. The lasting too is decent, around 4-5 hours easily, more on clothes. I couldn't test the projection. I feel it projected lesser, but can't really judge until 3-4 good wearings. I didn't get any smoke / birch which is typical of Aventus. Hence, Alex lacks the depth, which I think needs to be worked upon. Overall, I like this, and it can be successful if priced correctly.
My short review on the trio of samples I received from Mohit, ie Alexa, Grand Nuit and Rouge. I had knowledge of only Alex being a clone of Aventus and had no clue whatsoever of what the other 2 were about.
So when it came to Alex, first spray was little off putting and ofxourse i was repelled off of it.. but the drydown was more CDNIM /Aventus like and the projection was very very impressive.. not kidding

War of the clones:
Mohit sent some samples along with my previous order to test and review.
Alex was one of them. The clone to the king.
I gave all clones a chance if a duel with each other and the king!!
Alex, L’Aventure, CDNIM, and the ‘King’
Alex gives you bang on feel of Aventus. Better opening than CDNIM but I feel it's a bit more greener and less Birch woody/ smokey than I get it in CDNIM. Would be doing this comparison soon side by side.
Alex (Aventus Clone) review - Thanks Mohit Khatri for the sample.
1) The opening is more citrusy/pineapple than Aventus. Didn’t smell the smoky, woody and musky aspect .
2) Once that opening drowns, it’s SIMILAR to Aventus, better than Armafs version
3) Has moderate longevity 6-7 hours and then disappears
4) Remains close to the skin throughout, almost no Sillage
For a perfume with 25% concentration would have expected more
Alexa: It's a perfect clone of current Aventus batches. I personally have tried 17X01, 17T01, 17R01, 17W11. It's really close to X01, the opening is much better than CDNIM. Last on my skin 4-5 hours. If the performance can be pushed a bit, it's a winner.
