|Fragrance House||Dua Fragrances|
House : Dua Fragrances
Perfumer : Mahsam Raza
House Review: This house started a new trend in the world of perfumery. It has created a lot os noise in the fragrance market. Each and every person wanted a piece of it.
Initially the strategy of creating clones of famous perfumes with better performance catches up the hype quickly.
The wide variety that this house was offering had something for everyone. You name the category, from fresh perfumes to dark ones. Oriental to Gourmand and they have it for you.
Their concept of doing western perfumery in middle eastern style was a big hit. I am sure they use good quality oils in their compositions.
The compositions feel rich and thick. As a debut house i think they did a commendable job. I feel with time and more expertise they will come a long way, though a lot of reforms has to be done.
More than clones people all over the world appreciated his original compositions such as Mobster, Belgian choco truffle etc. with new releases lined up as wood and cognac and An evening with Mobster. This house is still maintaining its hype.
If we talk in terms of quality and array of juices, many of them are exceptionally done and full bottle worthy but many are just average as well. (Subject to my own taste).
Newbies who have just entered the Game seems to enjoy many of the blends created by them. Though i have seen many reputed noses appreciating many of its compositions. I would recommend you guys to try yourself and be the judge. You never know what clicks your olfactive senses.
All in all try the juices with an open mind without paying attention to the hate this brand is gathering.
In my opinion they are at least worth a try regardless of your stand.
" A small prejudice can walk a long way"
Personal Picks : Mobster, Belgian Choco Truffle, Vanilla Lemon Gelato, Sweet Tabacum, Desert Reflection, Kind Oud.
House Rating : 8/10
Dua is a House that has taken the fragrance world by storm in a very short time. Based in the United States by way of Dubai, Perfumer Mahsam Raza has come up with a concept of taking popular fragrances and offering high quality interpretations of them in Parfum Extrait concentrations using natural ingredients and oils. He is a very talented perfumer in his own right and not just a "clone" master as anybody who has smelled The Mobster will testify. Longevity and sillage are fantastic right across the line and the 30 ml bottles are great value for money as a little goes a long way with this House and you dont run the risk of getting bored. My favourites so far have been The Mobster, An evening with the Mobster, Sweet Tabacum, King's Precious Oud, Caribbean Waters and Leather oud. Mohit offers a great discovery pack and I guarantee you will find at least a few that you really love. Very impressed.
