Middle : rose, leather, tobacco
Base: cashmere wood, guaiac wood, musk
There are perfumes, then there are good perfumes and then there's Royal potion black.
The perfume opens up with a very smoky note, and stays like this for few mins. A strong heavy cloud of smoke. I believe this is incense. After couple minutes the perfume calms down a bit, it's still smoky, mixed with sweetness of rose. When you'll be busy relishing this perfect combination of rose and smoke, will enter leather and will leave you mesmerized.
These three notes will play hide and seek for hours with you. At times you'd feel all three together, at others, a note will go missing, making you feel their a change in perfume, and just with that thought you'd be reminded of the missing part of the puzzle, as it will come into existence again and take you for a ride.
I've tried LA yukawam, and like the way raspberry works with leather and smoke , but this is a totally different level of intimacy between these three notes (rose instead of raspberry). The blend is beautiful and will leave you wanting for more. A definite love for me on first try.
The leather is of good quality and the sweet combination of rose, tobacco and leather works perfectly. If you're looking for a good leather based perfume, I'll definitely suggest this one.
Performance is good - around 8 hours on me. Opened up very strong, luckily calmed down after that. It's definitely worth trying if leather and rose are your thing.
